Salary Range

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


The successful applicant will join ATR's Engineering Services Division, working as a team member at our government client site to support various R&D and engineering tasks related to materials development at the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division. Duties include, but not limited to:

  • Evaluation of material properties and characteristics for maritime application
  • Perform physical testing of variety of polymer materials products
  • Collect test data and maintain database
  • Support shipboard installation and testing
  • Prepare and review documentations.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:


  • Tech or vocational school or equivalent
  • 2-3 years of related job experience is desired

SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIREMENTS:


  • Knowledge in material evaluation process
  • Ability to support industrial laboratory and hardware
  • Ability to maintain and upkeep test equipment
  • Ability to travel and work in shipyard environment
  • Experienced with MS Office skills
  • Strong proficiency in oral and written communication skills.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:


Candidate must be a US citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance or favorable adjudication of a national security background investigation. Current successful background investigation completion is a plus.
