This is an exciting opportunity that would suit an experienced, proactive, and organised Financial Accountant looking for an interim role in an international, rapidly-growing, vibrant technology-based Group.
Please visit www.ltgplc.com for more details. As the Financial Accountant, reporting to the Finance Projects and Head Office Controller, you will:

  • Prepare several of the Group companies’ monthly management accounts delivered to tight deadlines together with supporting schedules to a year end standard.
  • Present clear variance analysis on the monthly accounts to the MDs of the relevant Business Units and the PLC Board and investigate any queries.
  • Ensure all balance sheet reconciliations are completed at month end and any discrepancies resolved
  • Prepare monthly cash forecasting reports and variance analysis
  • Continually improve processes to drive efficiencies and ensure appropriate financial controls are in place and reconciliations are carried out on a monthly basis
  • Liaise with external auditors on the audit of the Group’s Annual and Interim financial statements and subsidiary accounts
  • Assist with the annual budget and in-year reforecasting exercise, partnering with the relevant MDs and Department Heads to provide the analysis and assistance required for them to successfully prepare their budgets
  • Review and support the work of the Accounts Assistants to ensure transactions are booked in a timely and accurate manner
  • Provide daily support to internal and external customers and maintain consistent, prompt and accurate service levels to promote customer satisfaction
  • Proactively support and carry out ad hoc duties as and when required

The successful candidate will have:

  • A professional accounting qualification (ACCA/CIMA/ACA)
  • Strong organisational, written and verbal communication skills with experience of working directly with senior management

  • At least 3 years experience in a similar role
  • Strong IT skills, including Excel and accounting software (NetSuite experience would be advantageous)
  • Experience with financial variance analysis to non-finance staff
  • Knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP

Up to £55k plus bonus and benefits


This is a hybrid role working at least 1-2 days per week in our office in Central Brighton and the remainder working from home, though the candidate can choose to work more days in the office if they would like. This role is a fixed-term contract for maternity cover for an estimated period of 12 months. Part-time applicants will be considered, please specify in a covering letter.
