About the Opportunity


We are currently seeking a talented individual to fill the role of District Sales Manager.

Position Purpose/Summary:


To achieve personal territory sales and gross margin objectives, provide sales leadership for the district, engage local vendor sales resources, facilitate smooth operations and project a professional image within the district.

Essential Responsibilities/Duties


Sales Management:


·Actively coaches and mentors employees to achieve excellence and promotability throughout the organization.·Oversees or directly supervises employee training, reviewing, coaching and terminations.·Keeps abreast of competitors and market changes within territory.·Enthusiastically support and implement company policies and philosophies.·Team builder; Sets goals and motivates employees to achieve excellence in performance.·Creates supportive work environment and empowers employees to make informed decisions.·Holds employees accountable.·Ensures personnel are engaged in productive activities consistent with business objectives at all times.·Provides ongoing reviews of performance with constructive feedback to Field Sales staff to assist in team development.  ·Develops annual forecast and business plan for the region.·Accountable for the financial health of each branch operations within district.·Works with respective corporate managers to oversee all functions of branches including Sales and Marketing, Warehouse, Collections, Purchasing and Administration.·Develops relationships with personnel, key customers and vendors.·Responsible for recruitment, selection and hiring for all positions in district.·Prudently uses entertainment as a tool to facilitate building of relationships.·Regularly communicates company vision and overall direction and emphasizes employees’ value and opportunities.·Maintains positive atmosphere, upbeat morale within district.·All other duties as assigned by Vice President of Sales & Marketing and Market Segment Manager.

Personal Territory Sales:


·Meets or exceeds established sales and gross margin dollar goals.·Continually evaluates business potential within territory to insure focus on the "right" accounts.·Develops and updates written sales strategy for territory consistent with annual forecast and Ryan Herco sales philosophy.·Prepares and submits a weekly sales call plan to Regional Sales Manager (RSM) with goal of maximizing exposures (minimum of 5 sales calls per day).·Establishes, develops and maintains multiple customer relationships to gain a wide base of support within each account.·Allocates majority of selling time to develop new business while maintaining existing business.·Document all customer contact and sales activities (minimum of 3 times per week).·Regularly communicates with Inside Sales, RSM and other team members on territory sales strategy progress and problem resolution.·Supports a positive, enthusiastic team approach to sales.·Establishes and updates appropriate discount profiles on all accounts within territory.·Continually improves upon product/sales skills and market/application knowledge.·Understands market dynamics and keeps abreast of current economic developments.

·Maintains a high degree of professionalism at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:


Education/Experience:·3-5 years proven Field Sales Leader·4-year college degree or equivalent experienceSkills:·Personable demeanor and professional appearance at all times.·Highly organized; has disciplined approach to using time wisely.·Uses delegation effectively.·Ability to analyze business potential and economic conditions of district.·5+ years supervisory/ management experience.·Highly self-motivated, leads by example; achiever with strong interpersonal skills.·Excellent oral and written communication skills.·Detail oriented with consistent follow-up skills.·Ability to recognize, hire and promote talented employees.·Experience in sales training and coaching·Extensive product and market knowledge.·Clean driving record.·Free to travel within district via air or ground.www.rhfs.comwww.sun-source.comWe are an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer M/F/V/D.
