See more of what we do here.  We’re currently searching for an experienced Senior Business Intelligence Analyst to join our Customer Experience (CX) Services Operations team, a joint operations and analytics function serving our Chief Customer Officer’s organization.

The BI team at Granicus enables our teams to make impactful business decisions. Our analysts handle everything from researching progressive systems solutions to data pipeline management and dashboarding.This individual will report to the Manager of Business Intelligence and work with Analysts, Operations, and Product teams to leverage tools that enable us to rapidly synthesize datasets, refine analyses, and produce customer-quality summaries. We are a data-driven team that understands and translates complex customer and operational needs into clear insights. You will build, curate, document analyses and dashboards to increase the impact of the entire team. 

PLEASE NOTE - You must reside in Costa Rica to be considered for this position. Candidates living in other countries cannot be considered at this time.


What your impact will look like here:


  • Extract and analyze data from heterogenous data sources
  • Build and scale data analysis and dashboards in a SaaS environment for external and internal stakeholders
  • Employ qualitative and quantitative methods to uncover insight and drive customer and business strategy
  • Serve as an escalation point for BI team day-to-day troubleshooting and maintenance 
  • Conduct daily systems analytics to maximize effectiveness and troubleshoot problems 
  • Author internal documentation and status reports; regularly distribute to relevant parties  
  • Participate in stand ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives
  • Consult with technical and nontechnical teams across the company to identify business opportunities and build processes and/or tools to make them a reality
  • Be a tireless advocate for leveraging data internally and externally to help customers achieve their goals and grow the company

You'll love this job if you have / are:


  • 5+ years in Business Intelligence role or similar
  • Demonstrated experience with the three Vs of big data: Volume, Velocity, and Variety
  • Passion for developing and championing performance metrics and dashboards that enlighten and drive action
  • Expert level SQL skills with ability to create and truncate tables and write and optimize SQL queries
  • Extensive experience with data visualization tool like PowerBI, Tableau or QuickSight (work samples appreciated) 
  • The ability to write, monitor and troubleshoot ETL processes and push/pull data from a variety of sources
  • Broad knowledge of statistical and data analysis methodologies
  • Knowledge of Agile development methodologies (e.g. Scrum, Kanban)
  • Other preferred technical skills: using git to manage code, comfort with Unix command line, base knowledge in Python and/or R

₡25,000,000 - ₡30,000,000 a yearSalary range varies depending on candidate experience, qualifications and location, and internal equity based delta.
