Essential Functions:
- Process requests for price, delivery, returns, order status, order expedites, product literature and technical product assistance.
- Create quotes and sales orders.
- Customer follow up to provide delivery dates and order status.
- Ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with customers and sales teams.
- Prioritize and manage multiple requests in a fast-paced environment.
- Proactively anticipate customer's needs.
- Field incoming emails and phone calls.
- Assist and support Outside Sales teams.
- Upload data on customer internet portals.
Experience, Education and Skills
- H.S. Diploma or GED required; Associate degree or better preferred.
- 1+ years of customer service, sales and/or purchasing experience in a Manufacturing or distribution environment.
- Experience in Industrial Distribution or similar industry is preferred (Hydraulic, Pneumatic, Fluid Power, Electrical, Power Transmission, Motors, and Motion Control)
- Proficient with software programs including Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, E-mail and vendor pricing programs
- Ability to learn and work within a CRM system is required, working experience with Trend (CRM) is a plus.
- Demonstrated organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical, mathematical, and mechanical aptitude.
- Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills.
