We are seeking an
Exploit Developer
to join our growing team. As a Exploit Developer, you will do emulations [gemu], you will build systems [make scons] and use Atlassian tools [Confluence, Jira, Bamboo] to meet mission requirements. You will work on the development of modules that manipulate pointers, memory structures, and registers using low-level embedded systems techniques. You will also provide software engineering support required to implement Cyber Operations capabilities.This role resides in our Delivery Team and reports to our VP of Cyber Operations.
This position is located on site with the customer in Annapolis Junction, MD. SIXGEN supports cyber and intelligence missions by serving government and commercial organizations as they overcome global cybersecurity challenges. Our highly skilled operators conduct research and assessments based on real-world threats. We simulate adversaries and malicious actors to report details and actionable findings on critical assets and infrastructures. Our program planners advise mission owners to bring rapid solutions to intelligence mission leaders. Using innovative processes, tools, and techniques, we predict and overcome cybersecurity vulnerabilities.

Core Responsibilities:
- Develop proof of concept capabilities to show research progress.
- Conduct comprehensive reverse engineering on a variety of embedded systems.
- Perform static and dynamic analysis to find security vulnerabilities in embedded systems.
- Conduct and lead others in applying deep understanding of adversary networks, network defenses, and cyber network operational capabilities to develop exploitation plans and make operational adjustments as plans are executed.
- Create comprehensive strategies to develop and maintain accesses, conduct remote exploitation and provide technical assistance.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Software reverse engineering experience and debugging using Ghidra, IDA, Umminity, WinDbg.
- Experienced in front-end development [HTML/CSS, Javascript, jQuery, Rails, Django].
- Experience in back-end development [PHP, JSP, MySWL/MariaDB, PostgreSQL].
- Full understanding of exploit mitigations such as ASLR, DEP, PXN, ROP.
- Worked with Intel, ARM/AARCH64.
- Linux kernel development.
- Experience weaponing exploits.
- Experienced using MIPS assembly.
- Experience in vulnerability research and exploit development.
