Title: Director, Data Analytics

Florence Health is a technology-driven health care company. The company takes total cost of care risk for patients in partnership with the government and other payers, and leverages its proprietary technology to improve primary care outcomes through a network of independent affiliated practices as well as select staff-model Florence-branded clinics operated with strategic partners. The Company's core technology platform, Nightingale, is the result of years of R&D in the areas of health care data and patient records.
Role Responsibilities and Goals:
The Director of Data Analytics is a senior R&D hire for the Nightingale Technology platform. The role will report to the CEO of Nightingale Technology and will be a critical team member in helping guide, develop and execute the platform's data analytics roadmap. This key position will be responsible for driving excellence in the following areas:(i) ERD design and ongoing management, including thoughtful layout and data type decision-making(ii) Query design and implementation, both as a senior contributor and as a manager of junior analytics team members(iii) Accountability for the "performance" of the platform's end user data analytics, including with respect to: accuracy, latency, usability, and ultimately usage/impact(iv) Collaboration with Nightingale Technology leadership in helping shape the Company's Analytics product vision and roadmap (v) Code quality and regression prevention, including implementing SDLC best practices in the context of SQL and data analytics scripts(vi) Management of junior Data Analytics team members, enabling their contributions with velocity while ensuring deliverable quality and minimizing product maintenance/scaleability riskThe role will report to the CEO of Nightingale Technology and will have one direct report to start.
Role Qualifications and Skills Required:
[1] A background in mathematics, statistics and data science disciplines, preferably with an understanding of and demonstrated interest in emerging machine learning and artificial intelligence techniques[2] Minimum 5-10 years' experience in SQL and other data query languages[3] Experience and agility working in modern DevOps environments (e.g., on top of AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform)[4] Ambition to help create a great health care company through the development of data analytics to drive improvements in health care, without being deterred or put off by the amount of work or challenges along the way

What to expect in the interview process for this role:
Only full-time onsite candidates are being considered for this role (no remote hires), although additional relocation compensation is included for out-of-market candidates. Given the importance of this role as a core team member, the interview process will combine informational intro/interview sessions, with 1-2 in-person meetings with the Company's leadership, including the CEO and the Head of Corporate Development.
