Background


Florence Health is a rapidly growing primary care-focused clinic platform, launching a series of clinics in the Greater Houston area in 2024 in collaboration with Renaissance Physician Partners, one of the premier physician organizations in the region. Years in development, the clinic openings starting in Summer 2024 represent a shared mission to lead the healthcare industry with a forward-thinking approach to care delivery focused on achieving positive medical outcomes and a best-in-class experience for our patients.For more information, read the recent public press release announcement.

The Role:

With the first clinic opening now confirmed for Summer 2024, we are now sourcing for a key market management role: Director, Clinics. This senior role will be responsible for the overall operating success and staff management across locations, starting with the first location in Northside. The current site pipeline includes additional location openings approximately every quarter for the coming 2-3 years, across the greater Houston metropolitan area.

Responsibilities:


Staffing and People Leadership


- Involvement in recruiting, hiring, training, and managing clinic staff, including: nurses, medical assistants, administrative personnel, and other support staff- Collaboration with medical leadership on physician and mid-level recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and professional success

Clinic Launch Accountability


- Overseeing successful go-lives of new clinic launches, including conversion, transformation and switchover of acquired practices- Involvement with corporate and medical leadership in vetting the clinic launch pipeline for site selection, timeline planning and other strategic considerations

Ongoing Clinic Operation Accountability


- Ownership of each clinic's functioning as a "well-oiled machine" beyond the launch phase, including with regards to patient service success, financial P&L (including with regards to both fee-based and value-based/capitation service lines), and staffing and productivity goals- Support of Quality Assurance and compliance processes commensurate with a top-notch clinic operation - Vendor and third party relationship management and optimization- Ongoing reporting and collaboration with other key organization stakeholders including physicians and executives

Requirements:


- Experience with management and governance of multisite clinic operations, preferably including at least 1-2 years within the greater Houston area- Ambition and desire to help create and steer a best-in-class primary care-focused clinic, including a fearless mindset for the workload and attention to detail this will require- Commitment and passion are first and foremost for the patient. This is what drives everything at Florence, full stop- A team mindset (it takes a village)- A belief that value-based models are the future of primary care delivery, not fee-for-service, and experience with value-based care paradigms, including Medicare capitation, STARS and quality measures, risk adjustment, and other related concepts- IT adaptability/fluency picking up new tools and navigating nimbly across multiple technology systems; operating experience with athenahealth preferable but not required
