Copper River Enterprise Services is seeking a
Senior Maintenance Mechanic - Plumber to perform skilled work in the instillation, operation, maintenance, modification, service and repair to facilities plumbing, water and waste treatment systems, throughout all facilities on the New Embassy Compound/New Consulate Compound (NEC/NCC) to include office buildings, grounds, out buildings, ancillary structures.This position reports to the Senior Maintenance Supervisor, and is in Islamabad, Pakistan.
Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
- Perform skilled maintenance by inspecting and testing elements of facilities systems to locate and diagnose faults and malfunctions
- Assure the proper operation of a wide variety of mechanical systems and devices including pumps, motors, and compressors
- Perform preventive maintenance to keep facilities systems to prescribed operating standards and/or performance rates
- Troubleshoot problems, perform required repairs using hand tools and precision measuring and testing devices
- Perform basic plumbing work by repairing existing plumbing and pipelines, replacing washers in valves, installing plumbing fixtures, such as sinks, toilets, water heaters, and connecting them to outlet and inlet pipes by fitting with gaskets, couplings, traps, and valves, and soldering connections to seal joints, and opening clogged drains and stopped-up toilets
- Provide detailed cost estimate of repairs and/or replacement
- Repair existing facilities systems according to work orders or verbal instructions by inspecting the worksite to determine materials, equipment, tools, and method of repair
- Develop a plan for repair project or following a blueprint, sketch or schematic and assemble, fabricate, or build and install materials, equipment, or fixtures as required
- Assist and work with HVAC, Electrical, and BAS team as needed
- Assist with other general maintenance items to include painting, tile repair, carpentry, etc.
Requirements:
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in related field
- Clearance:
- Top Secret
- Required Knowledge/Experience:
- Master Plumbing or State Plumbing License required
- 5 – 7 years minimum in related field
- Must have good working knowledge to identify and mitigate safety hazards and capable to ensure Facilities comply with local environmental, U.S. OSHA, and local safety standards.
- Ability to interact effectively with individuals in garnering cooperation and support for key planning and project management initiatives in the assigned program area
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
- Preferred Knowledge/Experience:
- General Maintenance skills in HVAC and Electrical desired
- Carpentry skills, painting, tile repair skills desired
