OBJECTIVE
Provide day to day technical assistance, review of all BOM/BOL (Bill of Material/Bill of Labor) requests, review construction drawings for accuracy and prepare accurate BOM/BOL for all the jobs being submitted to shop.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
- Review incoming requests for accuracy and ensure the drawings are matching with the scope of work indicated on contract.
- Review the construction/shop drawings for accuracy which includes review of survey documents to determine and confirm special site conditions, limitations etc.
- Prepare accurate BOM/BOL for all the jobs being submitted to shop.
- Provide day to day technical assistance to managers and team members.
- Follow up with the shop during manufacturing of the products to check the quality of the information provided for continuous improvement.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Review incoming requests from various departments for BOM/BOL.
- Ensure that all the requests are prepared with all required information and sufficient time frame is allowed for completing the task.
- Initiate documentation and follow up on R&D Initiatives.
- Long lead items / Special purchases - Obtain information on availability and lead times to make better material selection/allocation decisions.
- Evaluate and identify standard products and prepare BOM/BOL templates/ product category cards for the Standard products.
- Document status of all the requests in the ERP (enterprise resource planning) program/software for the reference of internal customers.
- During shop visits, observe, discuss and document any good suggestions from other team members to increase the efficiency of the process.
- Analyze the actual labor hours and material consumed for various jobs. This task is to be carried out on selected jobs to cover a spectrum of sign types. Document the findings in an easily understandable format comparing the budgets and actual costs.

- Assist department manager in building and maintaining internal and external customer relationships ensuring total customer satisfaction.
- Maintain open lines of communication among all Gable Departments.
- Maintain highest standard of professionalism at all times.
PERFORMANCE STANDARDS
- Manage and deliver accurate BOM/BOL in a timely manner.
- Working knowledge of and ability to interpret a variety of instructions, e.g., written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
- Proficient computer skills including electronic mail, record keeping, establishing routine databases, work processing, preparing, and maintaining EXCEL spreadsheets.
- Familiarity with standard tools like Microsoft Office to efficiently carry out the functional responsibilities.
- Ability to write reports, correspondence, and standard operating procedures (SOP) manuals.
- Ability to communicate effectively with interfacing Departments, clients, customers and the general public.

On occasion team member may be exposed to the Production Plant where there is a preponderance of moving mechanical parts, high noise levels, and paint and chemical odors. Team member will exercise good judgement and adhere to all OSHA safety regulations when entering these areas.ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTSAll prospective team members must pass a criminal background check and drug test.
