Job Summary
The Senior RFID & Automation Solutions Engineer is responsible for designing and implementing Barcoding’s IoT & Automationsolutions throughout the United States and Canada. These deployments have been largely focused on manufacturing,warehousing, retail, food, and supply chain logistics. As a Senior RFID & Automation Solutions Engineer, you will be responsiblefor designing, configuring, testing, and implementing all the core components for a given solution. This includes the required IoTand automation hardware infrastructure along with defining the appropriate software and systems integration requirements.
Thecandidate must be comfortable working with the customer project stakeholders, Barcoding’s internal team, as well as hardwareOEM and ISV partners.
Primary Job Responsibilities
Pre-sales support working with customers and Barcoding sales team to understand a customer’s business challenges anddesign a complete solution around that delivering expected RoI.
- Lead customer meetings to determine and document the customer’s business needs and project details.
- Develop and maintain project plans with deliverables, goals and objectives, level of effort, and milestones.
- Document and itemize all software and operational changes required to meet the project objectives.
- Provide as built documentation for customer support purposes.
- Lead efforts around site surveys, proof of concepts, pilots, and deployments resulting in customer acceptance.
- Determine a projects optimal hardware design and configuration. This will include technologies such as RAIN RFID, RTLS, BLE, IoT Sensors, Machine Vision and Robotics.
- Installation and configuration of all software for fixed and mobile devices, both on-prem and in the cloud.
- Supporting internal projects and initiatives for the collective benefit of the Barcoding Team.
Job Competency
- Knowledge and experience implementing IoT software, hardware, and sensors preferred.
- Knowledge and experience of using GS1 standards is a plus.
- Willingness to invest in personal development such as training and certifications aligned to Barcoding’s IoT & Automation strategy.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- A willingness to teach and educate those less Senior Team members.
- Team player mentality to ensure customer success along with company and team goals.
- Excellent project management skills and strong verbal and written communication.
Requirements
- Minimally 10 years working experience with RAIN RFID and AIDC technologies.
- Bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in the disciplines of Computer Science or Engineering.
- MS SQL Server Database, Linux, and Java Script experience required.
- Networking infrastructure experience required.
- Ability to travel up 50%, including Canada.
Salary Description$130,000 - $140,000 Annually
