Job Description: ACT1 Federal is seeking a Participants Program Manager in Washington DC. The different Regional Strategic Study Centers build on the strong bilateral relationships between the United States and countries in different regions worldwide by focusing on a multilateral approach to addressing regional security concerns and issues. It is designed to meet the knowledge needs of national security professionals by providing a forum for rigorous examination of the challenges that shape the security environment of the different regions around the world.

The Centers provide a focal point where national decision-makers can gather to exchange ideas and explore tools for cooperative problem-solving.

Responsibilities:


  • Facilitating and enhance communications between the participants and Regional Center communities regarding programs and handling of participants.
  • Supporting programs by managing participants during programs conducted with each Regional Center, virtual for distance learning, and at overseas locations.
  • Supporting the program plan integration efforts by coordinating all activities with the event planner manager, registrar, and IT functions.
  • Developing protocol and participant plans and programs to accomplish these efforts through effective and efficient business practices.
  • Supporting day-to-day details associated with escorting, coordinating ground movement, and leading and communicating activities associated with various participant administrative aspects of running academic programs and at overseas locations.
  • Developing contacts with international representatives in Washington and counterparts in other countries to promote and expand NESA’s relationships with participating countries to facilitate program interaction, especially with priority countries determined by each regional center.
  • Providing substantive guidance and advice to staff and faculty to prepare for visits of international delegations and officials; senior coordinator for all top priority visits; works with staff and faculty to plan, organize, and host conferences.
  • Conducting other duties as designated that are within the scope of this position.

Requirements


  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • 2-3 years of proven experience as a participant programs manager with regional center members to include experience in planning and conducting outreach activities, and experience integrating support into events; proven track record of interpersonal skills to interact with senior personnel, diplomats, and embassies.
  • Experience coordinating programs, conducting administrative briefings, and coordinating technical planning to support programs, proven effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must have proven management experience of personnel conducting participant program activities.

Preferred:


  • Master’s degree
  • Ability to speak and write Arabic, French, or Russian.
