PURPOSE:
Responsible for the approved maintenance program specification of Systems, Structures, Airframe, Cabin, Components and Avionics of the Avelo 737 family of aircraft. Focus on Operating Fleet compliance with additional support of used aircraft induction specification, overseeing compliant bridging and required ICA programs required prior to Avelo in-service. This position is vital to the safety and airworthiness of our Customers and Crewmembers.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintains all program compliance within AMOS with applicable FAA, AD, FAR, OSHA, EPA and other governing program regulations.
- Utilize Avelo’s Technical Operations GMM Policy and Procedures pertaining to the development of maintenance programs and bridging equipment requirements including establishing maintenance time limitations (MTLM) specification into the Airline computer-based tracking system (CBTS) into AMOS.
- Responsible for assisting in development of new programs for newly acquired aircraft and ensuring necessary maintenance tasks have been completed prior to the aircraft being added to Avelo’s Operational Specification.
- Responsible for development and implementation of corrective actions to FAA or Continuous Airworthiness Surveillance (CAS) findings associated with the maintenance program.
- Develops processes requiring strategic and tactical understanding of how different organizations within Avelo Tech Ops work together in a maintenance environment and how changes to the maintenance program impact those other organizations positively or negatively against revenue day availability for fleet.
- Represents Avelo Airlines at the Boeing Industry Steering Committee (ISC) and provides technical guidance and approval in the maintenance program development process used by Boeing for development and revisions to the Maintenance Planning Document (MPD) as required by AC 121-22A
- Analyze and monitor the program through review of revisions to Manufacturer Maintenance Program Documents both MRB/MPD used to develop Avelo’s MTLM approved program.
- Champions unique packaging and execution of maintenance program tasks ensuring safety and compliance to the approved Avelo final program. This position is also responsible for optimizing maintenance visits to minimize aircraft out of service time and optimize available maintenance resources.
- Reviews incoming manufacturer's service bulletins with engineering and other OEM correspondence. Evaluates (including cost/benefit study) to make a retrofit or program recommendation, including the development of a program incorporation plan. Preparation of the technical documentation utilizing GMM, SOP and Boeing ICA procedures to affect the final program plan.
- Creates a “One Crew” and “Do The Right Thing” mentality for Engineering across the New Airline.
Requirements
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- College degree in aerospace engineering, Airline Management or related field required.
- Project management and maintenance programs experience.
- 8 + years previous airline, military, OEM or MRO experience with commercial aircraft is required.
- Familiarity with Mtc Programs and Engineering support systems, FAR 121 dispatch regulations.
