About the role :


PayFit is on a journey to evolve from a monolithic low-code platform (aka JetLang Platform) toward a more decoupled/distributed platform embracing event-driven and following the principles of DDD to better serve our customers. You will be a senior player for the Company and Employee Experience Tribe. As a Global Team at PayFit, this Tribe is responsible for Admin onboarding experiences from configuration to first Payroll. We are currently engaged on an exciting DDD transformation journey to better scale our Product and enhance our HRIS module to make it a key differentiator.As a Senior Software Engineer at PayFit, you will play a crucial role in building the future of our platform.

Your mission will be to:- Be part of a product team (Design, Engineering, and Product) to define issues to solve and develop high-value features- Drive the evolution of our architecture and system (DDD, system design, event-driven architecture, event sourcing)- Promote software development best practices and foster technical excellence (clean code, low-complexity, maintainability, observability, well tested and documented, scalability, security and privacy by design) - Own all the areas of the team's projects back-end, front-end and infrastructure- Mentor team members and lead cross-functional initiativesYou can learn more about low-code & JetLang on our blog !

This role is for you if :


- You have a strong experience in Javascript software development (frontend and backend, with a focus on backend ), React.js, Nest.js , Node.js and microservices architecture- You have a solid understanding of software fundamentals (Data Structures, Software Architecture, Design Patterns) and cloud architecture- You have proficiency on testing, monitoring, and continuous deployment- You have some proven hands-on experience with Event-Driven Architecture (EDA)- You are comfortable writing technical documentation and specs- You speak English fluently and you want to work in an international and dynamic environmentIt would be great if you also:- You have good communication skills and you can adapt your talking points to a non-technical audience- You are a team player who strives on sharing knowledge with others- You are someone who believes that team collaboration is more valuable than individual progress- You are familiar with DDD on architectural part, event-sourcing and CQRS - You have experience with Kubernetes, HelmIf you think you would be a good fit even if you don't meet 100% of the requirements, we would love to hear from you!About the team :You will join our passionate team where we value individual contributions and strive for excellence.

You will be part of a Product team with a Product Manager and a Product Designer. There are 20 other Software Engineers in the Tribe. Squads are between 2 and 5 engineers with whom you will collaborate daily as well as an Engineering Manager who will be your manager. Together, we aim to create a meaningful product and make a positive impact on the lives of our customers.A brief overview of our day-to-day stack:• Technical stack: Node.js, TypeScript, React, AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, SAM, CloudFormation, Helm, serverless, …• Code collaboration: GitHub, CircleCI• Project management and knowledge: JIRA, Notion, Miro, Google Docs• Communication: Gather, Slack, ZoomHiring process :1. First you will meet a Talent Acquisition Specialist for a discovery call (45 min)2. Next step will be a meeting with Malik, Engineering Manager (45 min)3. Then you will have a System Design live discussion with 2 Software Engineers (60 min)4. Then you'll meet Sylvie & Florian, Designer & PM of te team (45 min)5.
