The new combined national footprint will serve more than 250,000 properties, facilitate approximately 2.5 million repair and maintenance orders, and complete nearly 20,000 renovation and turn projects per year. We are seeking a strong Accounts Payable Specialist to join our rapidly growing team. The successful candidate will have a "roll-up-the-sleeves" attitude, be able to multitask, and have an aptitude for continuously finding ways to improve.
What You’ll Do:
- Process and review employee expense reports ensuring expenses are within policy and appropriately approved
- Monitor AP email inbox for work and respond within 24 hours to requestors.
- Set up new vendors, collect W-9s and COI information as needed
- Reconcile AP accounts as part of the month-end closing process
- Review and reconcile monthly corporate credit card statements and prepare corresponding journal entries
- Respond to employee questions related to expense reimbursements, credit cards, or AP policies
- Complete vendor credit applications as requested
- Review and enter vendor bills in the accounting system, ensuring accurate coding to cost centers
- Prepare weekly pay proposals
- Manage all payment-related correspondence with vendors
You Should Have:
- 2-3+ years' experience in AP processing
- Proven ability to meet deadlines and prioritize
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail
- Demonstrated application and use of sound AP policies, techniques, and practices
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, particularly with Excel
- 2-year degree or equivalent applicable experience
- Experience with NetSuite or similar ERP
- Experience in SaaS or Construction AP
- Experience with high volume AP and expense report processing
