For our colleagues not located near our beautiful offices, we encourage and sponsor quarterly in-person collaboration days to work together and further deepen our Village. The Protocols team Product Manager is responsible for driving the day-to-day management of one of our blockchain teams. We partner with the leading protocols and their direct investors to build whatever on-chain interaction they require that may include custody, staking, and governance support. This role requires a combination of technical understanding, business acumen, and leadership skills to build new asset support, manage our backlog of features and maintenance improvements, and think strategically about scaling the way we work. We have created Factors of Growth & Impact to help Villagers better measure impact and articulate coaching, feedback, and the rich and rewarding learning that happens while exploring, developing, and mastering the capabilities and contributions within and outside of the Member of Product, Protocols role:

Technical Skills:


  • Independently define the requirements and roadmap, collaborating closely with digital asset support teams on blockchain integrations.
  • Proactively research protocol integrations with emerging blockchains, developing on-chain solutions that drive value for protocol foundations and institutional investors.

Complexity and Impact of Work:


  • Lead your blockchain team in day-to-day operations and drive cross-team initiatives, ensuring alignment with project goals and ownership of your product area.
  • Work closely with sales, design, and engineering, inspiring your cross-functional peers to pursue both continued progress and consistent excellence.

Organizational Knowledge:


  • Understand both compliance and legal requirements to ensure we’re always building the right product or service and escalating the potential impact to the appropriate stakeholders and and your managers when appropriate. 

Communication and Influence


  • Educates the team on client understanding and exposes them to client feedback constructively
  • Communicates the roadmap clearly and persuasively across stakeholders.
  • Adapts communication both internally and externally in an effective manner, explains and convinces others the need to adapt or change processes, policies, structures, and methods to deliver their goals.

You may be a fit for this role if:


  • You have 5+ years of relevant product management experience, with a strong emphasis on blockchain technology and on-chain transactions.
  • You have a background in engineering, equipping you with the acumen to effectively collaborate with technical teams to solve problems.
  • Your empathy and adaptability not only complement others’ working styles but also embody our culture of curiosity, creativity, and shared understanding
  • You are autonomous, with the ability to make informed decisions that align with our strategic goals.
  • You are deeply invested in optimizing the end-user experience and leveraging it to create business value.
  • You have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • You self describe as some combination of the following: creative, humble, ambitious, detail oriented, hard working, trustworthy, eager to learn, methodical, action oriented, and tenacious.

Although not a requirement, bonus points if:


  • You have written your own smart contract or dApp.
  • You have a background in the world of finance.
  • You've seen and were emotionally moved by the musical Hamilton : )
