Job description
The Game Server Engineer will be responsible for developing and maintaining the backend infrastructure of our online games. This includes the design, development, and deployment of server-side features, ensuring high performance and responsiveness to requests from the front-end. You will work closely with game developers, designers, and other engineers to create scalable, secure, and robust game servers that support our titles' online functionality.
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-load game server applications and services.
- Implement server-side logic for game functionality, including matchmaking, player data storage, leaderboards, and in-game communication.
- Work with cloud-based infrastructures to deploy and manage game servers, ensuring uptime, scalability, and security.
- Collaborate with the development team to integrate server-side logic with client-side elements.
- Monitor, identify, and resolve server performance bottlenecks and ensure optimal server response times.
- Develop tools and automated tests to ensure quality and performance standards are met.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies and advancements in game server development to adopt best practices and innovative solutions.
Requirements
- Fresh graduate or final-year students who can work in the office at least 3 days/week for 6 months.
- You love playing and building games and/or blockchain applications.
- You care about quality and strive to write secure, efficient, and elegant code.
- You are proactive and dare to learn and do new things.
- You're a team player and can work closely with the rest of our team.
- You have good critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- You committed your time and effort to this program.
- Familiar with TCP/IP, and database and have basic algorithm knowledge.
