Pumpkin is looking for a Territory Account Manager to help us on our mission to create a happier, healthier world for pets and their people. In this role, you will build lasting relationships with vet hospitals while educating on the importance of pet insurance for our furry family members. In collaboration with our field sales team, you will nurture relationships, deliver engaging virtual presentations, and grow the number of pets who have best-in-class care. This will be a hybrid position, with a minimum requirement of 2 days a week in the Columbus, Ohio office. 


What You'll Do:


  • Nurture existing vet hospital accounts to ensure a high level of support and build sustainable relationships with hospital staff.
  • Deliver engaging presentations to educate vet staff on the value of Pumpkin Insurance and the benefits of engaging pet owners.
  • Optimize performance tracking through our CRM (Salesforce) to continuously improve customer engagement and meet quarterly sales goals.
  • Generate leads and policies within your territory, building effective and lasting relationships with veterinary hospitals and clinics.
  • Partner with our marketing and design teams to create sales collateral, presentation decks, etc. that is unique to your style and Pumpkin’s voice.
  • Assist with the launch of Pumpkin’s newest services and initiatives to continuously increase awareness and enhance pet protection.
  • Develop and execute territory business plans to maximize performance based on market and customer needs.
  • Up to 10% travel requirements as needed.

What We're Looking For:


  • Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent work experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in high volume sales. 
  • Experience creating relationships with customers through virtual channels.
  • Strategic-thinking skills and ability to evaluate opportunities for account generation, growth and management.
  • Ability to create impactful slide decks and conduct educational presentations. 
  • Strong prioritization skills with ability to take initiative when necessary.
  • Growth-mindset, continuous learner, and someone who has experience working in a highly fluid and agile environment.
  • Ability to pass/obtain Property & Casualty License within 30 days of employment.

Bonus Points:


  • Experience working in insurance, start-ups, vet hospitals, or animal health.
  • Experience utilizing Salesforce CRM.
  • Active Property & Casualty License.
