Above Lending is looking for a Director to join our Strategy & Operations team. This team is the internal consulting function which manages key relationships, moves critical projects forward, and connects the dots across the organization. Strategy & Operations Directors lead high priority cross-functional efforts, deliver objective analysis and insights, and execute on strategic initiatives. The ideal candidate will be process-driven and prioritization-focused with enthusiasm for diving deeper into existing processes and tirelessly looking for opportunities to “move the needle.”This is a hybrid position with the expectation of 3 days per week in our Northbrook, IL office.
You will
- Execute initiatives that focus on process enhancement and/or optimization, with end-to-end execution from initial assessment through recommendation and implementation
- Develop and manage road maps and analytical reporting for initiatives
- Identify opportunities and gaps in automation, process and system improvements
- Build relationships with key stakeholders across the business
You have
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university. MBA preferred, but not required
- 5+ years of experience in consulting, investment banking, private equity, strategy or a high growth start-up. Consumer lending space experience highly preferred, but not required
- Experience executing complex strategic and operational initiatives with solid business judgment
- Strong knowledge of business and financial concepts, with ability to work in Excel and SQL
- Quick learner; willing to dive in and get your hands dirty. This is an individual contributor role
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
