Bill of Materials (BOM) Specialist:
As a Bill of Materials (BOM) Specialist at Natera, you will play a crucial role in our manufacturing process by managing and maintaining accurate bill of materials data. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Procurement, Manufacturing, Finance and Quality Assurance to ensure the integrity and accuracy of BOMs throughout the product lifecycle.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Establish and streamline efficient processes for maintaining accurate, complete, and consistent bill of materials (BOM) across all products in ERP management software.
- Review specifications, and other documentation to accurately capture BOM information.
- Collaborate with R&D, PDO, Procurement, and Manufacturing teams to identify and resolve UOM discrepancies or inconsistencies in BOMs.
- Implement and maintain BOM revision control processes to manage changes and updates effectively.
- Monitor and analyze BOM data for cost optimization, quality improvement, and inventory management.
- Support new product introduction (NPI).
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure BOM purchasing UOM accuracy.
- Provide training and guidance to cross-functional teams on BOM best practices and processes.
- Coordinate planning activities with cross-functional departments to ensure project milestones are achieved on-time.
- Implement new or improved supply chain processes to improve efficiency or performance.
- Maintain item master data to support planner code and production order policy data.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's Supply Chain Management, related field or minimum 5 years’ experience maintaining BOM’s within bio-tech field.
- Proven experience as a BOM Specialist or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of bill of materials (BOM) structure, components, and relationships.
- Proficiency in BOM management tools/software (e.g., ERP systems, PLM software).
- Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to BOM management (e.g., ISO 9001 is a plus.)

- High level of ERP system functionality and Supply Chain business processes.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate across departments.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to analyze complex data sets.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and show unique attention to detail and work in a fact paced work environment.
- Advanced in use of Microsoft Office Suite of Applications (Word, Excel, and Power Point); Advanced Microsoft Excel user.
- Team player who will go to great lengths to ensure success for the department and Natera.
- Flexibility and adaptability to evolving priorities while working in a dynamic environment.
- Demonstrates effective verbal and written communication.
- Holds self personally accountable to meet or exceed team expectations.
