Lucas Systems, Inc. is seeking Software Services Engineers to maintain existing customer solutions, deploy software directly to customer environments, and provide exceptional communication throughout.
You will have an opportunity to see the results of your work in action by occasionally visiting a customer site. At the end of the day, you will have satisfaction knowing you are doing meaningful work and helping others in need.
As a Software Services Engineer, you will:
- Debug and analyze complex issues in existing software, providing timely and effective resolution (e.g., database and code maintenance, hardware issues such as printers, wireless accessories, smartphones, tablets and ruggedized handheld devices).
- Manage customer relationships through regular communication.
- Have the opportunity to design, develop and manage software enhancement projects; configure and maintain development/test environments; assist QA with integration and regression testing,
- Work closely with other teams through all aspects of the Client Project lifecycle.
- Serve as an after-hours technical resource on emergency production system issues.

- Associate or Bachelor Degree in Comp Science or related area of study, or relevant certifications with equivalent experience
- Two years of related technical experience
- Knowledge of Microsoft Operating Systems and practical work experience or internships with C#.NET (or other OOP languages); Angular 6+ experience a bonus
- Good understanding of relational databases, preferably SQL Server
- Excellent communication skills; Able to convey complex technical subject matter to both high-level IT personnel and less technical end users
- Strong problem solving skills with an innate curiosity to get to root cause
- Ability to work largely independently in a fast-paced environment and work a rotating on-call schedule (paid On-Call – able to be done from home)
- Not required, but Bilingual (fluent Spanish/English) is a plus.
