Full-timeDescriptionFairstead seeks an organized and enthusiastic professional to serve as Community Engagement Manager for one of its New York City portfolios in Brooklyn. The Community Engagement Manager will be responsible for resident communication strategy and direct relationships with tenant leadership. The role will report to the General Manager.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Property Management, Public Affairs, Development, and Design & Construction on resident communication strategy across the portfolio.
- Manage direct relationships with 12+ tenant leaders.
- Plan and organize resident meetings.
- Present at meetings.
- Draft, design, and manage written communication/notice distribution.
- Manage third-party vendors and liaise with community stakeholders.
Requirements
- Extensive experience in community organizing, social services/social work, or other client-facing role.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint or willingness to learn.
- Knowledge of Yardi/RentCafe or willingness to learn is a plus.
- Evening and weekend flexibility is required.
- Bilingual in Spanish, French, or Haitian Creole is a plus.
Compensation and Benefits
- $75,000.00-$80,000.00 + bonus eligibility.
