Role Summary


We are looking for a detail-oriented, analytical, and strategic Accounting Manager to oversee our financial operations in the Sales Enablement (SE) business segment. The responsibilities include, but are not limited to, managing financial reports, analyzing financial data, and maintaining the integrity of financial transactions and records. The Accounting Manager will work closely with the extended accounting team and other departments to support our business objectives and drive strategic decision-making.

The Dura accounting team is a very fast-paced team and only those candidates who have a strong desire to improve processes, think strategically, take ownership and execute against clear and time-sensitive milestones will find success in this role.

Your Contributions


· Oversee and actively manage all aspects of accounting on the SE business segment.· Ensure that all key financial reporting deadlines are met for the group, including:o Month-end closeo Balance sheet reconciliationso Monthly variance analysis· Own the regulatory reporting process for all entities in the SE group, including completing statutory audits and reporting requirements for various domestic and international jurisdictions.· Manage the month-end close process for all SE entities, ensuring that all deadlines are met and any changes to original timing is communicated timely.· Conduct variance analysis on balance sheet and P&L accounts on a monthly basis, ensuring that all changes are in line with expectations and quantitatively supportable.· Act as the lead external audit contact for all tested activity on SE entities, including providing sample support, responding to auditor/internal questions on a timely basis, and supporting HQ with projects/questions that involve SE portfolio companies.· In the future, this role will manage the overall SOX process for all SE entities, including working with the HQ accounting team to ensure consistent processes are met for the various entities.· Partner with the FP&A team to answer P&L variance questions on a regular basis, as well as to help answer questions from an accounting perspective to drive the budget/forecast process on an ongoing basis.· Actively engage with and effectively manage all direct reports, as well as the broader accounting and finance team – including (but not limited to) holding regular weekly 1-on-1’s with direct reports and contributing to the conversation during group meetings.· Work with all direct reports to outline annual goals that align with overall Company and accounting team objectives.

Provide leadership and direction to accounting staff within the SE segment, including coaching, training, and performance evaluation.· Serve as a strategic thought partner with the broader accounting and FP&A teams, including actively and regularly offering up ideas on how processes could work better, how we can improve overall efficiency, etc. This role is not meant to simply adhere to rigid compliance guidelines – it’s expected that the person in this role has an ownership mindset and actively participates in helping make Dura a stronger accounting team.· Build and maintain positive working relationships with not only members of the finance team, but also members of the broader Dura team (for example: Ops, Marketing, IT, etc.)· Actively demonstrate a willingness and desire to improve as a professional, including asking for feedback, being coachable, and showing humility.· Perform other related ad hoc requests as needed. Requirements

Your Experience 


We are looking for a candidate with the following qualifications:? Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. ? CPA is highly preferred.? Big 8 audit experience (Big 4 is ideal).? Proven ability to perform and be adaptable in a fast-changing/startup environment.? Minimum of 5 years’ experience in accounting or finance, with a proven track record in a similar role.? Management experience (there are 4 direct reports currently).? Comprehensive understanding of GAAP and applicable financial reporting requirements.? Proficient in the use of accounting software and Microsoft Excel.? Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.? Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment.? Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
