This position involves analyzing financial data, preparing reports, identifying trends, and providing valuable insights to support the execution of the organization’s goals. In addition, this role will encompass financial M&A modeling and integration, and special projects designed to foster continuous improvement and drive additional value-creation for the Company. 

What You'll Do:


  • Develop and gain deep business understanding of financial drivers and levers that impact the P&L.
  • Generate accurate and timely financial reports (revenue and expense) for management and other stakeholders. Present financial information in a clear and concise manner to facilitate decision-making.
  • Maintain monthly / quarterly reporting schedules that track actual vs plan. Conduct variance analysis to understand discrepancies between planned and actual results. Provide actionable recommendations to address any deviations from the financial plan.
  • Participate in the post-merger integration plan by providing financial insights and support to ensure a smooth transition. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze relevant financial and operational information.
  • Develop complex financial models to assess the financial viability and impact of potential mergers and acquisitions.
  • Build detailed financial models to support project-based initiatives related to product rollouts and process improvements.
  • Support recurring external reporting at the lender and investor level.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance financial processes and reporting capabilities. Implement improvements to streamline financial analysis and reporting procedures.
  • Ensure consistent approach to checking work and uncovering key insights. 

Requirements

  • Advanced in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) and Microsoft products.
  • Manage workload in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, presentation skills, and communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Experience in financial analysis and M&A modelling.
  • Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and under tight deadlines.
  • Prior experience working with a planning and reporting tool a plus (preferably Adaptive).
  • Demonstrable problem-solving, quantitative, and analytical skills; strategic and critical thinking.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics
  • 2 to 4 years' experience in FP&A or M&A positions, preferably with expertise in supporting a growing technology or eLearning SaaS organization.
