As
Sr. Network Engineer, you’ll play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining advanced network infrastructure to support military operations in both tactical and non-tactical environments. You will work closely with military personnel, technology vendors, and other stakeholders to ensure the reliability, security, and efficiency of our network systems.We know that you can’t have great technology services without amazing people. What you’ll do:
- Design, plan, and implement tactical network architectures tailored to meet the specific requirements of military operations.
- Develop network diagrams, documentation, and technical specifications to guide deployment and troubleshooting efforts.
- Provide subject matter expertise in tactical Army networking practices and processes
- Deploy and configure network equipment including routers, switches, firewalls, and communication systems in both fixed and mobile environments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including system administrators, cybersecurity specialists, and mission planners to achieve shared objectives and goals.
- Implement and maintain robust security measures to protect sensitive information and prevent unauthorized access.
- Integrate new technologies and capabilities into existing network infrastructure to enhance performance and functionality.
What you’ll need to succeed:
- Active DoD Secret clearance
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- A strong understanding of tactical Army networking processes, regulations, technologies, and approaches
- Requires technical expertise in the areas of communications network engineering, satellite communications, architecture, analysis, development, and network operations support
- Experience designing, deploying, and managing complex network environments in a military or defense-related context.
- Proficiency with network protocols and technologies including TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs, and QoS.
- Strong background in satellite communications (SATCOM) systems, telecommunications, and IT equipment
- Expertise in ensuring interoperability and integration of software applications and systems.
