The work location of this position is at the Pentagon.


Responsibilities 


  • Reviewing, editing, and proofreading senior leader forum read-ahead materials
  • Managing and coordinating senior leader calendars
  • Tracking and coordinating senior leader RSVPs for all DoD senior leader forums (including but not limited to Deputy’s Management Action Group, Deputy’s Workforce Council, Secretary’s Large Group, etc.)
  • Coordinating day-of meeting logistics (setting up telecommunication connections, making seating charts, and coordinating name tents)
  • Managing deliverable schedules to ensure forum read-ahead materials are submitted and quality-controlled in a timely manner
  • Tracking forum outcomes, action items, and RSVPs
  • Writing and coordinating forum summaries of conclusions
  • Managing forum SharePoint sites (posting read-ahead materials, updating forum calendars, and managing access to SharePoint site)
  • Managing person of contact distribution lists and communities of interest

Qualifications


  • Active Secret DoD Clearance is required
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years related professional work experience
  • Experience supporting the Department of Defense, Veterans Administration, or prior military experience
  • Experience in a DoD executive engine room
  • Excellent administrative skills
  • Demonstrated skills to perform all required duties
  • Ability to work responsibly and independently and under direct supervision
  • Experience with standard MS Office suite products, including Excel and SharePoint
  • Degree in English, Journalism, Political Science, or related field
  • Experience working in or supporting the DoD experience, providing administrative and logistical support in a fast-paced environment
