What you’ll do
Become part of an iconic brand that is set to revolutionize the all-electric pick-up truck & rugged SUV marketplace by achieving the following:
- Individually contribute in chassis systems vehicle dynamics for Scout all-electric pick-up trucks and rugged SUVs.
- Be a part of the vision of engineering excellence & source of knowledge.
- Critically review of available technical systems and propose an engineering improvement of chassis components and functions.
- Design & create with collaboration, a drive system packaging and a testing strategy that allows other teams to contribute and implement their necessities.
- Partner with other concept & systems architect teams to produce solutions to engineering & functional challenges.
- Actively work with mule / DV and production part requirements, including design, testing and ordering, hitting all design and prototype gates. Coordinate, guide, and track the prototype and serial development stage, ensuring part availability, test planning, and part releases.
- Work with vehicle dynamics to ensure all active chassis controls for stability control and ABS are optimized
- Be involved with other related tasks / activities as required.
Location & Travel Expectations: The responsibilities of this role require attendance at in-person meetings and events regularly. This role will be based out of the Scout Motors location in Novi, MI. Applicants should expect that the role will require the ability to convene with Scout colleagues in person and travel to participate in events on behalf of the company from time to time.

- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Engineering
- 4+ years of experience in ESC, stability control, ABS, or vehicle dynamics focused on the active part of handling
- Passion in Vehicle dynamics, specifically truck and off-road development.
- Experience with ABS / Stability Control (ESC), Electric Power Steering (EPS) and chassis tuning and development
- Experience in CAD tools, packaging of chassis components and experience in part design application (incl. requirements management, system integration, manufacturing and assembly processes).
- Advanced project steering and coordination skills to practice independent project management for a defined chassis part scope.
- Motivated engineer wanting to work at the cutting edge of electric vehicle technical design, create new ideas and solutions, enjoying hands-on testing.
- Strong interpersonal skills including ownership, self-motivated, problem solving, analytical, team player, innovative, creative, communication skills and ability to develop & mutually thrive in working relationships.
- Proven ability to work in a cross-functional environment.

Pay Transparency
This is a full-time, exempt position eligible to receive a base salary and to participate in an annual performance bonus program. Final salary offered will be determined based on factors including but not limited to the candidate's skills and experience. The annual performance bonus program is preset and not candidate dependent.Initial base salary range = $120,000-$135,000Internal leveling code: IC9
