What you’ll do
Become part of an iconic brand that is set to revolutionize the all-electric pick-up truck & rugged SUV marketplace by achieving the following:
- Design, build, and implement robust and scalable network architecture to support business and manufacturing operations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and develop network solutions that meet business needs.
- Participate in network capacity planning and perform network performance optimization.
- Configure and manage network devices, including routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.
- Troubleshoot network issues and implement effective solutions in a timely manner.
- Document network configurations, processes, and procedures.
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices in network engineering.
Location & Travel Expectations: The responsibilities of this role require attendance at in-person meetings and events regularly. This role may be based out of a Scout Motors location in Columbia, South Carolina. Applicants should expect that the role will require the ability to convene with Scout colleagues in person and travel to participate in events on behalf of the company from time to time.

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 7+ years of experience as a Network Engineer, with a proven track record of designing and building complex networks.
- Experience working in a manufacturing facility is preferred, or experience in large headquarter builds.
- In-depth knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, etc.) and network security best practices.
- Understanding of SDN, network architecture, and networking protocols.
- Understanding of transport networking, routing, and switching at scale.
- Experience designing and building large server rooms, ensuring efficient layout, cooling, and power management.
- Relevant certifications such as CCDA, Network+, JNCIA or equivalent.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Pay Transparency
This is a full-time, exempt position eligible to receive a base salary and to participate in an annual performance bonus program. Final salary offered will be determined based on factors including but not limited to the candidate's skills and experience. The annual performance bonus program is preset and not candidate dependent.Initial base salary range = $120,000-$140,000Internal leveling code: IC8
