Trilogy Federal is looking for a
Senior Business Analyst
with knowledge and experience in Veteran benefit claims processing. The candidate should be a motivated professional who brings expertise in business analysis, process improvement, and project management to support clients in achieving their mission of providing timely and accurate benefits to Veterans and their families. The Senior Business Analyst will play a key role in driving business innovation, process optimization, and project success. The successful candidate will possess exceptional analytical and writing skills, strong business acumen, and a proven track record of delivering high-quality solutions that meet client needs. This role has the potential for very limited travel (3-5 days once or twice a year), but no travel is planned at this time.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough analysis of existing business processes, systems, and workflows to identify areas for improvement, optimization, and automation.
- Gather, document, and prioritize business requirements from stakeholders across multiple departments.
- Translate business requirements into clear and concise specifications, including functional and non-functional requirements, flow diagrams, user stories, and use cases.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business leaders, subject matter experts, and IT professionals, to ensure alignment between business objectives and technical solutions.
- Lead or contribute to project teams by providing expertise in business analysis methodologies, project planning, and execution.
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource requirements, to ensure successful project delivery.
- Facilitate communication and manage expectations among stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
- Conduct thorough testing and validation of implemented solutions to ensure they meet functional and non-functional requirements.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to team members and clients.
- Stay updated on industry trends, market developments, and technological advancements relevant to Veteran benefits claim processing.
- Proactively identify opportunities for process enhancements and recommend innovative solutions to drive business growth.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in business analysis, with a focus on process improvement, requirements management, and project management.
- A solid understanding of JIRA, including its features, functionalities, and best practices for requirements management.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to think critically, solve complex problems, and make data-driven decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Proven track record of successfully leading cross-functional teams and delivering high-quality solutions on time and within budget.
- Experience with business analysis tools and methodologies, such as BPMN, UML, Agile, and Waterfall.
- The ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.
- Self-starter able to work independently and within a team.
- Flexibility and the ability to react to rapidly changing requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification(s) in business analysis (e.g., CBAP, CCBA) and project management (e.g., PMP, PMI-PBA)
- Previous experience with the Veterans Benefits Administration, Compensation Service
- Working knowledge of Confluence to help set up and organize team workspaces for collaboration.

$115,000 - $127,000 a yearThis range is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as Trilogy Federal conducts an individual equity review for every candidate based on experience, location, education, industry experience, and comparisons to internal pay bands.
