JUNIOR RECORDS EXAMINER
Technical & Support Tasks - Personnel shall be expected to support meetings, draft various documents, correspond with RAS personnel and other personnel All personnel are expected to unload trucks and shelve boxes from pallets. This includes an inventory of the deposited material and entry of request numbers, file numbers, and section numbers into a tabular listing in the date received order. Personnel may be required to enter inventory data into the FBI's Document Capture Management System. The material is then staged to await the next function which is Document Preparation (See section 4.3.2).~ Records, documents, and/or files are prepared (made ready to be easily scanned by the scanner).
Staples and fasteners are removed, tom pages repaired, pages are aligned properly, slip-sheets inserted; some material is placed in plastic sleeves and some material is copied for scanning. Once completed, the .material is forwarded to the Scan function · Performance metric: Prepping -is 450 pages per hour. This standard is measured using the ruler method of 1" = 225 images and the image count/hours reported on the Daily Time/Productivity Tracking Sheet. The reported image counts/hours worked is verified by the DocLab management staff prior to submission of stats. -DocLab personnel scan the material on high speed scanners or when required on desk-top/large document scanners.
After scanning the material it will electronically forward to the MQA function (\surance (QA) sampling methods to review image clarity, orientation, and the overall quality of the output. Following QA, DocLab personnel move the physical material to the Re-Assembly area (See section 4.3.6).· Performance metric: MQA 1,140 pages per hour. This standard is measured using the XML files which show the image count and start/end times for MQA sessions.Task 4.3.5 Reassembly -Prior to returning the records, documents, and/or files to the central repository, the material must be returned in the condition in which it was received.· Performance metric: Re-Assembly -1,000 pages per hour.

Monitor system consoles for image "hang-ups," processing anomalies, Optical Character Recognition (OCR) confidence levels, and .TIF, .TXT and PDF quality. Perform electronic format conversions and OCR-on-demand conversion requests with electronic files if required.-After the material has completed the output process personnel are expected to review the scan unit output for security classification levels utilizing specific FBI procured software.
The security levels which will be searched are those higher than SECRET and validating material processed as unclassified.-DocLab personnel upload electronic files to directories, SharePoint sites and prepare material for delivery to the customer.
