We're on the hunt for a dedicated Senior Full Stack Software Developer to champion our creation of tech solutions for sustainability. As a vital member of the team, you'll be pivotal in evolving our customer-facing products, crafting significant amounts of high-quality code, steering projects from conception to completion, refining our processes, and guiding the next wave of talent. This is a hybrid/remote out of our Boston office. and you will report to the Technical Manager, Software Development.
What you’ll do:
- Deliver value: Internalize our OKRs and orient your work around measurable results.
- Write code: Design, implement, and deploy reliable and efficient production software in React and Python.
- Stay agile: Be active in our sprint planning, execution, and reflection Scrum processes.
- Grow others: Guide junior developers across the org through mentorship and collaborative creativity.
- Grow yourself: Continually seek ways to up-level your own skills; inspire and cross-train your colleagues.
What you’ll bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of professional software development experience at companies with 10 or more developers (consumer-facing environments a plus).
- Experience designing and building dynamic, interactive, cross-browser frontend applications (proficiency in React and Typescript is a plus).
- Experience in creating robust, performant backend services and APIs, with a strong understanding of server-side languages and frameworks (competence in Python, Django, and Postgres is a plus).
- Understanding of cloud hosting offerings and experience deploying and managing secure, scalable cloud infrastructure components (knowledge of Azure, Docker, and Terraform is a plus).
- Proficiency using IDEs (PyCharm or Visual Studio), support tools (code analysis AI, log analyzers), and colleagues (us!) to debug quickly and deploy rapidly.
- Ability to work in person 1-2 days per week from our Boston, MA office.

- Demonstrated experience in effectively communicating information, ideas, and perspectives with people inside and beyond your organization.
- Experience in showcasing initiative to make improvements to current work, processes, products, and services across the organization. We value accountability and an ownership mentality.
- Ability to ask appropriate questions, analyze data, identify the root causes of problems, and present creative solutions.
- Expertise in building strong internal and external relationships with customers and stakeholders, instilling trust and loyalty across the industry.
- Eagerness to develop a fundamental understanding of how Nexamp operates and then apply that knowledge effectively to inform business decisions.
