The Director of Information Governance is responsible for the development and maintenance of relationships with decision makers at Am Law 200 firms in order to provide sophisticated technology and professional service solutions. This is a telecommuting role and can be based anywhere in the United States.
Job Description
As a member of the senior management team, provide leadership and guidance on operational issues, business strategy, policies and practices affecting the organization with a strong focus on process improvement and service excellence. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Drive business development activities.
- Improve and monitor company operations related to project management and execution.
- Mentor staff and providing feedback for annual employee reviews.
- Financial analysis and review.
- Develop and implement operational targets and long-range plans aligned with the organization’s strategic plans.
- Meet billing and utilization goals.
- Consulting with clients to design and implement information governance systems and best practices.
- Evaluating existing information governance policies and best practices and developing recommendations for problem resolution, enhancement, and fine tuning and presenting recommendations to clients.
- Designing, documenting, implementing, deploying, and, when applicable, managing implementations of information governance best practices for information governance systems.
- Maintaining a high level of technical expertise, industry knowledge and professional disposition.
- A subject matter expert capable of presenting at trade shows (LegalTech, ILTA, etc.) and CIO Roundtables and authoring articles and white papers for industry trade publications.
