We are seeking a talented and experienced
Senior Modeling and Simulation Engineer
who possesses a deep understanding of complex modeling and simulation disciplines. The ideal candidate will demonstrate proficiency in coordinating with customers to accurately capture model requirements, simulation objectives, and applicable variables. This role is pivotal in developing sophisticated multi-system simulations, software modeling, device characterization, and automation of parametric testing and measurement. Please note this position is contingent upon award.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Engage with customers to understand and define model requirements, simulation goals, and necessary variables for accurate simulation design.
- Design and implement complex simulations involving multiple systems, ensuring they meet or exceed customer specifications.
- Develop software models and perform device characterization, focusing on both hard and soft modeling development.
- Conduct parametric testing and automate measurement processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Construct and deliver simulations tailored to specific customer requirements, from conceptualization to execution.
- Document testing processes and results comprehensively, providing clear and detailed reports to end users and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure simulation projects are completed on time and within budget, aligning with customer expectations and project goals.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or related field.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in modeling and simulation engineering, with a proven track record in complex multi-system simulation projects.
- Demonstrated experience in software modeling, device characterization, hard and soft modeling development.
- Proficiency in parametric testing and measurement automation.
- Strong capability in designing simulations that meet customer specifications accurately.
- Excellent documentation skills, with the ability to clearly report test results to users.
- The ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance.
- Detailed understanding of Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint, Project) and their features/functions.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and facilitation skills.
- Deep experience with creating executive-level documentation and reports.
- Detailed understanding IT System Development Life Cycle, Agile, or SAFe concepts.
- Ability to interface well with end-users and senior client stakeholders.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks concurrently.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and collaborative virtual environment.
- Detail-oriented consulting approach, with client service focus.
- Self-starter able to work independently and within a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications in modeling and simulation, project management, or related areas.
- Experience with the latest simulation software and technologies.
- Demonstrated leadership in managing simulation projects, with a focus on innovation and quality improvement.
- Experience with systems such as NASA Task Load Index (TLX), System Usability Scale (SUS), Post-Study Usability Questionnaire (PSSUQ), Health Information Technology Usability Evaluation Scale (ITUEs), CPRS/VISTA, Oracle Millennium, TermMed, Symedical, VA SNOMED Extension (VSE), Health Level 7 (HL7), and Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources (FHIR).
- Experience in healthcare.

$125,000 - $140,000 a yearThis range is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as Trilogy Federal conducts an individual equity review for every candidate based on experience, location, education, industry experience, and comparisons to internal pay bands.
