The best candidate for this role comes with 10+ years of experience in enterprise IT, within both industry and consulting capacities, who has worked across multiple disciplines and has a strong ability to learn technologies and articulate how those technologies can support meeting business objectives.We’re looking for someone who enjoys helping people craft solutions to complex problems and can draw on their broad, general experience from a multi-faceted career in enterprise IT to guide customers through the envisioning of solutions that leverage business process analysis and design, organizational change management and other consulting services in conjunction with technical implementation services for the ServiceNow platform.

What you’ll be doing:


  • Provide solutioning support throughout the sales cycle including scoping, pricing, and proposal content support across disciplines such as: IT Service Management, Security Operations & Integrated Risk Management, Human Resources Services Delivery, IT Operations Management, IT Business Management, Customer Service Management

  • Discover underlying customer requirements and objectives to effectively demonstrate ServiceNow technology solutions in their context and establish the scope for implementation engagements.
  • Identify the need for and engage with key internal subject matter experts (SMEs) within each practice or capability area to ensure feasibility of envisioned client solutions and success for our clients in meeting their planned objectives
  • Works with team members to aid in determining future product lines by working with Sales & Marketing to review product specifications and requirements; appraising new product ideas and/or product changes.
  • Help to transition the detailed execution of projects to the service delivery organization and provide ongoing support throughout delivery with continuous customer engagement, overall architectural governance and quality assurance of the solutions being implemented
  • Become the long-term technical partner of key customer accounts following the transition of projects to delivery – the trusted adviser for technical staff.
  • Provide general guidance and support to Solution Architects within the delivery organization for your customers and projects that have transitioned to delivery.
  • Supports bringing new products to market by helping evaluate proposed product requirements; reviewing other’s return-on-investment analyses; supporting enablement activities with sales, marketing, and services delivery.
  • Supports the marketing team by participating in marketing events as a representative of the company.
  • Writes and presents regularly in the form of blogs, white papers, and webinars to help promote those offerings they are most knowledgeable about.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; and participating in professional societies.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related activities as needed.

What you’ll bring to the table:


  • This role requires a broad technical acumen in multiple areas. It is not expected that the role is an expert in everything but to have working knowledge across multiple areas and a willingness to learn on the job in order to speak the customer’s language.
  • Experience as either a major stakeholder in platform strategy, or has implemented the ServiceNow platform in one or more organizations
  • BS or BA Required, Masters a plus, preferably Information Systems or Business/Public Administration related
  • Appropriate industry certifications for a senior level person of their background
  • Ability to form the C-suite relationships - CIO, CTO, CISO, CHRO, COO, etc.
  • Ability to listen and understand the customer and effectively communicate back a sound understanding of customer’s needs and objectives
  • Ability to articulate the connection between a customer’s problems, proposed solutions, and expected outcomes or return on investment that can be realized to both the customer and engagement teams
  • Requirements Analysis, Business Planning, Competitive Analysis, Sales Support, Pricing and Business Strategy skills
  • Team player with the ability to work well across organizational boundaries
  • Real world experience in delivering solutions in their areas of expertise

This range represents the expected compensation for this position. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range when taking into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to location; skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
