Position Summary
The Cleaner supports daily project office activities by providing cleaning the office and tea/coffee services to the project staff. Through these efforts, s/he will ensure and maintain an efficient office environment.Principal Duties and ResponsibilitiesAs cleaner for the Kaizen Ethiopia program, the employee is responsible for the following principles duties and responsibilities:
- Emptying waste bins, transporting waste material to designated collection points.
- Clean and mop office floors by using a variety of equipment and supplies.
- Wipe or wash or polish desks, chairs, ledges, window sills, cupboards, shelves and fitments and make sure that dusts are removed using appropriate cleaning materials.
- Wash toilets, hand basins, sinks, and drinking fountains and ensure they are sanitized properly.
- Replenish towels, soap and toilet paper in restrooms on a regular basis.
- Ensure that the office kitchen and equipment is properly cleaned and maintained.
- Prepare and make ready tea and coffee for project staff and guests.
- Make sure the availability of cleaning and tea/coffee supplies stock and order at the lead time.
- Follow all health and safety regulations.
- Carry out any other reasonable duties within the overall function of the job.
Qualifications
- High school graduate,
- Proven experience as a cleaner or in another similar role,
- At least 2+ year of experience,
- Excellent interpersonal and oral communication skills,
- Fluency in English and Amharic.
