About the role:
This exciting position is with our West Region, providing critical technical expertise as a Cyber Engineer. You will be the key point of contact and technical resource for customers on their journey to cyber security.

What You’ll Do:
- Use tools to understand the cyber security posture of our clients, including on-premises and cloud systems, policies and procedures, and software/firmware vulnerabilities and updates.
- Execute and refine vulnerability management at all levels.
- Perform stakeholder management activities to communicate improvement strategies and ramifications to stakeholders and manage concerns and issues.
- Analyze and appropriately present findings, including risk-based recommendations for action.
- Provide recommendations on improving the client’s security posture based on business objectives.
- Participate in Incident Management by providing situational reports (sitreps) via ticket updates and/or customer-facing communications.
- Develop and execute action plans on your own and as part of a team, and present results of our work to improve cyber security to clients, team, and other stakeholders.
- Identify and drive opportunities to automate repeatable infrastructure tasks including through creation and maintenance of scripts and tools
- Participate in recurring after-hours on-call rotation.
What Skills & Experience You’ll Need:
- 2-5 years of exposure to NIST, ISO 27001, and CISA cybersecurity frameworks.
- Deep technical understanding of core current cyber security technologies as well as emerging capabilities.
- Hands-on cyber security experience (Protect, Detect, Respond and Sustain) within a Computer Incident Response organization
- Experience with security architectures, firewalls, and network access and intrusion detection.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills to interact with clients, team members and upper management
- Self-discipline to work according to playbook and time requirements.
- Must be able to effectively and comprehensively discuss security issues with senior management.
- Passion for cybersecurity and staying up-to-date with current threats, tools and techniques.
- Willingness to learn new security technologies, products and incident analysis and response approaches.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.

- We have a comprehensive Compensation Management System which establishes the guidelines we use in making compensation decisions and is comprised of compensation policies, salary structures, salary grades, incentive target guidelines, job descriptions, and career charts.
- This position’s Salary Range is $80,000-$95,000 (NOTE: this is the range at the national average level; specific salaries offered will be adjusted higher/lower due to the local labor market of the candidate. Individual compensation packages are based on various factors unique to each candidate, including skill set, experience, qualifications, and other job-related reasons).
