As a key member of the Finance team the Accounting Manager is responsible for leading a team of 2 senior accountants in supporting the financials for the Americas. Areas of responsibility include month-end close, consolidations, and financial reporting. The Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing processes and outcomes including Revenue Recognition, Credit and Collections, and Sales Tax (including GST/HST/QST) and will work on projects to support the Finance Department, all while delivering quality internal and external customer service while demonstrating competencies in all the areas of responsibility and the ability to grow with the organization.

What you’ll be doing:


  • Provide support to senior management and other stakeholders by delivering timely reports and analytical services, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and minimizing risk exposure.
  • Prepare monthly financial statements, conduct variance analysis, and manage accounting functions including reconciliations and expense analysis.
  • Develop and maintain revenue recognition processes.
  • Manage accounting staff
  • Verify compliance with contract terms, schedules, and agreements.
  • Prepare, reconcile, and verify accounting information to contribute to accuracy and timeliness of the Company's financials.
  • Provide high quality, timely support and problem resolution for the organization’s goals and financial results.
  • Prepare technical accounting memos as needed.
  • Coordinate the annual audit.
  • Build and maintain ongoing inter and intra-departmental working relationships to assist team members and focus on driving team and organizational goals.
  • Process Improvement and Project Management
  • Other tasks and duties as assigned

What you’ll bring to the table:

  • 7+ years previous experience. Strongly prefer US GAAP project-based ASC 606 accounting experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field required; Master’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business preferred.
  • US CPA License is very strongly preferred, Canadian Chartered Accountant and CGMA designation are preferred
  • High level of ethical integrity
  • Able to work in a fast moving environment
  • Strong computer skills including Excel
  • Strong knowledge of ERP accounting software required; Jamis Prime ERP experience is a plus.
  • Comfortable making decisions with imperfect information, exchanging ideas, information, and opinions with others to formulate and/or arrive jointly at decisions, conclusions, or solutions.
  • Ability to effectively present information on a regular basis to management, and others as needed. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Note: Base salary range is $110,000 CAN to $130,000 CAN. This range represents the expected compensation for this position. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range when taking into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to location; skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.

The range listed is just one component of the total compensation package for employees.
