What we're looking for:
Nexamp is growing their Pre-Deployment team and seeking to hire a Labor Compliance Manager. You will play a key role with serving as the liaison between internal Nexamp departments to define the labor compliance requirements. We are supporting remote or hybrid work for this role, ideally being based out of either our Boston or Chicago offices. You will report directly to the Manager, Deployment Operations.
What you'll do:
- Collaborate with internal Nexamp business units to identify the Federal, State, and Local labor compliance criteria.
- Perform a high-level analysis to determine viability of meeting the applicable labor compliance criteria.
- Identify labor compliance details for Construction labor versus O&M labor, reporting frequencies & associated required deliverables, State specific initiatives, etc.
- Complete a prevailing wage analysis to determine the applicable Federal and State Department of Labor wage tables for each Construction Project.
- Provide Estimating team with the applicable wage tables to be used in the Project budget creation.
- Document the Project determination assumptions and obtain signoff from all applicable internal stakeholders.
- Handoff labor tracking requirements to LCP Admin for project setup.
- Provide guidance to internal Clean Energy Deployment (CED) team members on labor compliance requirements.
What you'll bring:
- 4+ years reviewing Federal, State, and Local contracts to determine the labor compliance requirements and communicating to subcontractors all the applicable requirements associated with each Construction project.
- Previous experience with solar related incentive programs and the associate labor compliance requirements preferred.
- High school degree, or equivalent required.
- Commitment to Nexamp's mission and have a passion for solving tomorrow's climate crisis today.
- Demonstrated experience in effectively communicating information, ideas, and perspectives with people inside and beyond your organization.
- Experience in showcasing initiative to make improvements to current work, processes, products, and services across the organization. We value accountability and an ownership mentality.
- Ability to ask appropriate questions, analyze data, identify the root causes of problems, and present creative solutions.
- Expertise in building strong internal and external relationships with customers and stakeholders, instilling trust and loyalty across the industry.
- Eagerness to develop a fundamental understanding of how Nexamp operates and then apply that knowledge effectively to inform business decisions.
- Previous experience engaging and inspiring teams to excel while focusing on the growth and well-being of team members.
