Project Background:
The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) Emergency Preparedness & Response Operations (EPRO) directs and coordinates CMS programs for emergency preparedness, response and recovery, and continuity of operations. EPRO works with the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), other federal departments and agencies, beneficiaries, health care providers, and other stakeholders in carrying out these programs. Internally, EPRO works with the Office of Strategic Operations and Regulatory Affairs (OSORA) regarding CMS essential records management.
EPRO establishes policies, procedures, and strategic and operational plans, provides situational awareness, and conducts training, testing, exercises, and evaluations to ensure CMS' preparedness and workforce readiness to respond to natural disasters, human-caused incidents, and public health emergencies.
Position Description:
The Administrative and Support Staff Lead will assist the Deputy Project Management Lead in meeting all deadlines set by the Project Management Lead and the client. The Administrative and Support Staff Lead oversees the Administrative and Support Staff, who perform the day-to-day tasks associated with the contract and acts the main point of contact between the Administrative and Support Staff and the Deputy Project Management Lead.
Required Skills:
Must have at least five (3) years of related experience in office and program management, specifically supporting emergency management, emergency response in the government sector, or performing IT Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity activities, such as DR testing, policy and plan development, and facilitation.A substitute for two (2) years of experience can be given for
A graduate degree related to emergency management, emergency response, public health, or public administration or holding a current Certified Emergency Manager (CEM)® credential issued by the International Association of Emergency Managers (IAEM).Graduate degree with a major or concentration in Business Continuity or a related field holding a current Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP)® or Master Business Continuity Professional (MBCP)® or Certified Public Sector Continuity Professional (CPSCP)® credential from the Disaster Recovery International Institute (DRII).Graduate degree with a major or concentration in Project Management or a current Project Management Professional (PMP)® credential from the Project Management Institute (PMI).Candidate must be willing to travel into the regional offices up to 20% of the time, for events, and at the discretion of the clientDesired Skills:
