We are looking for an energetic Technical Support Engineer who will provide technical and network problem resolution to end-users (customers and internal) by performing a question-based diagnosis process while guiding users through step-by-step solutions. The Support Engineer will help complete IT questionnaires, assessments, and work with hospital IT to ensure hardware and software meets their standards. This hybrid position requires access to hardware and is open to applicants local to either of our offices: Washington D.C.

Metro area or Austin, TX.

Duties and Responsibilities


  • Answer inbound phone calls from customers on the technical support line
  • Respond to emails from customers
  • Assist employees with general IT issues such as email, wireless, and other IT product
  • Assist customers with technical issues related to Bluesight products and solutions
  • Resolve issues, maintain high-end customer satisfaction and confidence
  • Analyze application data and ensure accuracy with resolutions
  • Security assessments and remediation
  • Other duties and technical projects as assigned

Qualifications and Requirements


  • Bachelor's degree required. Electrical or Computer Engineering Degree Preferred
  • 2-3 years of experience in administering and/or troubleshooting issues related to hardware, IT systems, and networks
  • Advanced network troubleshooting abilities required - you should be comfortable with Wireshark (or similar) and be able to quickly and correctly troubleshoot local networks
  • Experience with Linux server administration strongly preferred - you should be comfortable with Linux file structures, networking, process management and general configuration best practices.
  • RFID hardware experience preferred
  • A+ or Net+ or equivalent certifications strongly preferred
  • CCNP or CCNA certification preferred
  • Healthcare experience a plus 
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Professional and polite demeanor
  • Knowledge and experience within a SaaS environment is preferred

$30 - $38 an hourThe standard base pay range for this role is $30 - $38 per hour. Actual amounts and salary will vary depending on position offered, experience, performance, and location.

This position is a remote position and open to applicants in the continental United States.
