The Center for International Private Enterprise (CIPE) strengthens democracy around the world through private enterprise and market-oriented reform. CIPE is one of the four core institutes of the National Endowment for Democracy and is an affiliate of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. Since 1983, CIPE has worked with business leaders, policymakers, and civil society to build the institutions vital to a democratic society. CIPE’s key program areas include Enterprise Ecosystems, Democratic Governance, Business Advocacy, Women’s Economic Empowerment, Anti-Corruption & Ethics, and Trade.

 Multimedia Manager

Chief Communications Officer (CCO)

Scope:


 CIPE is seeking a full-time, exempt position based in Washington, D.C. for a Multimedia Manager who is a seasoned technical web leader with a proven track record in driving alignment across divisions, streamlining the web development process, as well as hands-on coaching capabilities, and the ability to deliver large scale digital projects

Responsibilities


  • Manages internal staff and vendors to drive efficiencies, fix uses and constantly improve the performance of all digital assets including, but not limited to Cipe.org, podcasts, social media, and electronic invitations.
  • As the driving force behind the organization’s web strategy, the Multimedia Manager leads the conceptualization, implementation, and vision for Cipe.org. Advises divisions on how the sections across the cipe.org family work together in a cohesive manner.  Works closely with communications management and third-party vendors on the development of a multi-year roadmap for the website that includes developing a plan to integrate low performing and orphaned sites.
  • Oversees the creation of digital materials and the posting of web content to make sure that podcasts, videos, and Cipe.org updates properly convey the impact of CIPE programs on the communities we serve.
  • Ensues Google Analytics tracking in is in place and assesses and audits the performance of web pages. Makes recommendations to optimize the site’s performance and  generating quarterly metrics of digital properties.
  • Writes and edits website copy to improve readability and SEO, identify keywords and negotiate backlinks.
  • Supports digital campaigns to drive increased awareness and engagement. Advise colleagues on creative and effective ways to bridge the gap between business objectives and available technology.
  • Stays current on technology trends and collaborates with internal stakeholders on development of new products, content channels, services and helps determind key metrics and benchmarks for measuring success.
  • Proven track record in designing PowerPoint presentations and other materials to enhance the CIPE message.
  • Leads efforts to determine the best way to integrate other languages and translations into the website.

 Requirements


  • 8-10 years of experience in digital communications with at least four years of experience with website administration and development using WordPress.
  • Ability to coach internal stakeholders.
  • Strong knowledge of Google Analytics and SEO strategy development and execution. Adept at gathering and analyzing data to develop theories on how to leverage this information in actionable projects.
  • Excellent writing, communication, and analytical skills. This includes high attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Graphics design, photography, and/or video editing skills.
  • Strong organizational skills, including demonstrated ability to operate gracefully in a fast-paced work environment with multiple deadlines.
  • Exceptional leadership skills with success navigating complex business issues and technical environments,
  • Demonstrated understanding of key digital policy and/or digital rights issues and their impact on business trends    
  • Financial acumen and ability to develop, manage, and monitor project budgets.  
  • Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple tasks with limited supervision in a fast-paced, global environment.
