Description:


SURFMEPP’s Structural Analysts lead engineering efforts to develop and maintain Class Maintenance Plans (CMP) for ship tanks, voids, weather decks and superstructures using reliability centered maintenance principles.  Structural Analysts also:

  • Develop various SURFMEPP corrosion control processes and products
  • Ensure SURFMEPP process alignment with higher-level government guidance
  • Research and provide recommendations to improve surface ship CMPs and other SURFMEPP products

Requirements:


Applicants must have the following minimum skills and knowledge:

  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • 7 to 10 years of relevant professional experience
  • Physical ability to perform shipboard inspections to include climbing ladders and entering voids, tanks and other confined spaces.
  • DOD SECRET Security Clearance
  • Database Management
  • Perform research and data analysis to identify trends and relevant issues;
  • Navy Maintenance through Shipyard experiences such as being on a hull during a Depot Level (CNO Avail) and OFRP.
  • Demonstrated maintenance planning experience with U.S. Navy surface ship classes.

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Use of Navy Databases
  • Drafting and delivering technical presentations
  • Appropriate written and verbal communication skills to interact with U.S. Navy personnel
  • Demonstrated engineering experience as Naval Officer or Enlisted; OR Prior experience as Port Engineer or Project Manager for subject ship class.

Salary: $ 55,000 - $60,000
