Trilogy Federal is looking for a motivated and independent

Project Manager


to support a variety of projects across a large program. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing projects and will demonstrate a strong desire to embrace leadership and management responsibilities within our team. The selected candidate will support multiple projects focused on improving healthcare for Veterans. Ideal role for an individual with a strong track record of mentoring team members, coupled with a strong desire to transition into a formal management role while benefiting from a supportive and growth-oriented team culture OR an experienced manager seeking a new challenge, where responsibilities will be gradually delegated as they acclimate to the client and project dynamics.This role is remote and DC Metro-based hires are encouraged to attend in-person team meetings that occur approximately once every 1-2 months at our Headquarters in Arlington, VA.

Primary Responsibilities:


  • Serve as a senior-level resource on multiple projects providing guidance and mentorship to mid-level and junior team members. 
  • Lead a variety of projects and workstreams, shifting efforts according to changing business needs. 
  • Provide thought leadership on project approaches and potential areas of support, translating client goals into actionable steps. 
  • Learn business processes, systems, and goals to develop a deep understanding of the client environment.  
  • Collaborate with a variety of teams, including technical resources, end user groups, and stakeholders to define, analyze and document business requirements, processes, and workflows. 
  • Present compelling and polished presentations to front office executive staff and/or business teams. 
  • Develop and deliver presentations and reports to leadership and cross functional business/technical teams covering project status, risks, issues, and strategies.   
  • Conduct analysis of specific issues and identification of alternatives. 
  • Compile project-related metrics and track applicable implementation and/or deployment task activities for reporting to leadership. 
  • Develop and maintain project management artifacts such as project management plans, process flows, meeting minutes, action item logs, risk registers, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).   
  • Capture spoken information in real-time in documents and spreadsheets (e.g., live edits to documents, capture of questions and answers during presentations, etc.). 

Minimum Requirements:


  • Bachelor’s degree required. 
  • Minimum 8 years total experience. 
  • Prior federal consulting experience. 
  • Prior work history supporting the Department of Defense (DoD), the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), the Veterans Benefits Administration (VBA), the Veterans Health Administration (VHA), and/or the healthcare industry.
  • Documented success leading projects.  
  • Enthusiasm for taking on managerial duties, with a keen interest in advancing into a formal leadership role.
  • A keen interest in healthcare projects. 
  • Experience and success in mentoring and guiding team members toward achieving common goals. 
  • Demonstrated experience developing briefings and reports, facilitating working sessions, and presenting to diverse stakeholder audiences. 
  • Demonstrated experience producing project management artifacts. 
  • Ability to think about projects holistically to identify next steps and courses of action that will support the client’s goals. 
  • Agility and ability to change course based on shifting plans, priorities, and timelines. 
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills. 
  • Strong attention to detail. 
  • Proficient in the following MS Office Applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Project. 
  • The ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance. 

Preferred Qualifications:


  • PMP certification. 
  • Master’s degree in healthcare administration or other applicable degree area. 
  • Prior experience managing a small team with a track record of achieving objectives and fostering a collaborative work environment.
  • Prior experience working in a healthcare organization (e.g., hospital, health system, health insurance company, military health etc.). 
  • Availability to work from the Trilogy offices in Arlington, VA approximately once every 1-2 months.

$100,000 - $115,000 a yearThis range is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as Trilogy Federal conducts an individual equity review for every candidate based on experience, location, education, industry experience, and comparisons to internal pay bands.
