ELS, Inc. has an opportunity to support NAVSEA SEA 21 Surface Maintenance Engineering Planning Program (SURFMEPP), which is an echelon three command that reports to the Deputy Commander Ship Maintenance and Modernization, SEA21, Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA). We are looking for motivated, responsible, articulate individuals to support SURFMEPP efforts.
Description:
SURFMEPP’s Corrosion Planners actively manage and track surface ship class corrosion plans during CNO Availability advanced planning and planning processes. The Corrosion Planners use standard operating procedures, best practices, and growing expertise to assist Maintenance Teams with identifying and tracking mandatory Technical Requirements (MTRs) and related services during CNO Availability planning and execution. Corrosion Planners provide quality control checks on SURFMEPP corrosion plans and are relied on to act as SURFMEPP’s initial Corrosion Subject Matter Expert to other Surface Navy maintenance stakeholders during CNO Availability planning.

Requirements:
- US Citizen
- DOD SECRET Security Clearance
- Physical ability to perform shipboard inspections to include climbing ladders and entering voids, tanks and other confined spaces.
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- 4 to 7 years of relevant professional experience
- Understanding of Technical Requirements of Corrosion and Structure (CCAMM / NSTM100)
- Understanding of CNO Availability Planning process as outlined in the Joint Fleet Maintenance Manual
- Demonstrated maintenance planning experience with U.S. Navy surface ship classes.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Use of MS Office Suite tools
- Drafting and delivering technical presentations
- Superior written and verbal communication skills to interact with Senior U.S. Navy personnel
- Maintaining accuracy and integrity of Corrosion databases (CCIMS)
Travel: 10 Percent of the timeSalary: $60,000 – 63,000
