Simple Technology Solutions is looking for a Junior Infrastructure Specialist I to add to our team.
Quick Position Overview:
- Must be either a U.S. citizen
- Bachelor's Degree is required
- minimum of 1 year position related experience is required
- All candidates will require a Department of Homeland Security TSA Clearance to work on this program.

The Role:
As a Junior HR Infrastructure Specialist, you will be responsible for supporting the operations and maintenance of the TSA human capital technology stack. This includes setting up and maintaining application environments and databases, monitoring and analyzing system performance, managing patch management and upgrades, and collaborating with security engineers on compliance and vulnerability issues. You will also assist with troubleshooting system errors and performance problems.
Role Responsibilities:
- Application and System Maintenance: 50%
- System Performance Activities: 20%
- Patch Management: 20%
- Ad-hoc Infrastructure and System Administration Activities: 10%
Education and Experience:
Required
- Minimum 1 year of experience + Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
- 2+ years of experience with AWS administration, including architecting and maintaining AWS solutions
- 2+ years of experience with database administration, modeling, tuning, backup, and recovery
- 2+ years of experience with implementing and maintaining network configuration in cloud environments
- 2+ years of experience with supporting containerized solutions
- Ability to research issues and provide solutions
- Excellent customer relationship management skills, including effective oral and written communications
- Must be able to work the hours of 8am-5pm Eastern Time regardless of your home location
Required Certifications
- AWS Foundation Certification
Preferred Skills
- Understanding of SaaS platforms, such as ServiceNow and Salesforce
- Experience with human capital systems, especially in support of Federal customers
- Experience working in an agile environment, preferably using SAFe
