- Support and manage natural resource and land use permitting solutions to help clients’ realize their goals related to environmental planning/permitting, and environmental reviews (e.g., federal/state/local natural resource permitting and environmental reviews, wetland and/or water resource permitting, Endangered Species Act consultations, NEPA/SEPA documentation, etc.).
- Conduct field surveys for a variety of natural resources including fish, wildlife, and plants.
- Conduct wetland/waters delineations to comply with federal, state, and local requirements.
- Conduct functional assessments for streams and wetlands.
- Use GPS and GIS technology to record natural resource locations in the field.
- Manage and prepare technical reports for a variety of natural resource requirements including Biological Assessments, Critical Areas Reports, Shoreline Permits, 404/401 applications, NEPA/SEPA documents, etc.
- Lead coordination with clients and city, county, state, and federal regulators.
- Assist with business development and proposal activities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in physical, natural, or environmental science, or similar related field.
- Minimum of 3+ years of experience permitting natural resource impacts in Oregon and Washington.
- Ability to read and interpret regulations.
- Desire to develop strong relationships with staff, clients, and regulators.
- Ability to prepare technical reports with great time management skills.
- Drive to provide high-quality, technically accurate reports.
- Detail-oriented mindset.

Salaries are based on candidate experience and qualifications, as well as various market and business considerations.The wage range for this position is $35.00 - $50.50 per hour, depending on experience and placement into a Environmental Science Technician 2, Environmental Scientist, or Senior Environmental Scientist role. Full-time employees receive a well-rounded benefits package, including access to our company-sponsored Medical, Dental, Vision, FSA, and Supplemental Life Insurance plans.
