The Senior Database Architect will leverage their comprehensive expertise to support the digitally transformed US Census Bureau (USCB). The 2030 Decennial Census system-of-systems will be scaled up to become one of the largest and most successful production environments running in the AWS GovCloud region. We require an innovative engineer who can help our USCB customer plan for and develop 2030 Decennial Census applications in a new, highly secure enterprise cloud environment.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the lead in designing database architectures. Propose, design and develop the right databases to best fit the right USCB systems.
- Establish standards for database operations, programming, query processes, and security through design strategies for multidimensional networks.
- Implemented a large scale multi-Terabyte enterprise to meet customer needs.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree and 14+ years of professional experience with database design and architecture
- Familiar with both Relational and Non-Relational databases, specifically ones offered in the AWS family.
- Strong experience with AWS, Python, Databases, Postgres, Redshift, Neptune/Graph DBs, Vector DBs.
- Demonstrated experience in full understanding of information flow and data modeling to ensure system integrity and stability for production systems
- Demonstrate experience in full development life cycle understanding of database analysis, design, development, and architecture to support a fully automated process
- Demonstrated experience establishing the standards for database operations, programming, query processes, and security through design strategies for multidimensional networks
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust
- US Citizenship required
