One year before, Translation was awarded Ad Age’s Small Agency of the Year.We are looking for a Director of Facilities to join UnitedMasters | Translation! The ideal candidate will have a strong background in facilities management, workplace strategy, and operational excellence, with a proven ability to drive efficiency, innovation, and collaboration across multiple locations. Please note this is an in-office position based in our Brooklyn, NY Office and you will be expected to be in the office 5 days a week.
What You'll Do
- Develop and execute strategic plans for managing the company's real estate in alignment with business objectives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support workplace design and construction projects, workplace technology solutions, employee engagement initiatives and emergency preparedness planning.
- Manage facility budgets, forecasts, and expenses across all UMT offices globally , identifying cost-saving opportunities while supporting the needs of high profile brand clients and UnitedMasters talent
- Select, supervise, and manage workplace vendors or internal systems across all trades including HVAC, plumbing, security & general construction.
- Oversee cleaning services, food service operations and the repair and maintenance of equipment while building, maintaining and managing local vendor relationships.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations, industry standards, and best practices related to workplace operations and health and safety requirements in the US and overseas
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance workplace productivity, technology, and sustainability practices.
- Work closely with the Security team; ensuring security and safety are prioritized in all aspects of daily building operation.
- Lead and mentor a high-performing team of workplace operations professionals, providing guidance, support, and development opportunities.
- Support off hours VIP requests and events on short notice. Take a hands-on approach to supporting multiple, high profile business units in a start-up environment.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Proven ability to manage budgets and work with vendors to maintain SLAs
- A proven ability to juggle multiple deadlines and projects; be highly organized with analytical skills
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- The ability to thrive in a fast-paced workplace with rapidly changing priorities
- A willingness to be self-directed, with a knack for solving problems and spotting inefficiencies
- Proven ability to operate with discretion and poise with high level brand partners, company executives and industry talent
Minimum Qualifications
- 8+ years of facilities experience in a high-growth organization, preferably in a 200,000+ sq ft environment
- A working knowledge of building systems and maintenance (HVAC, fire life safety, lighting, commercial kitchen equipment, etc)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting high visibility executives, brand clients or industry talent
- Global experience

Salary Hiring Range:
$140,000 - $165,00Our salary ranges are based on paying competitively for our size and industry, and are one part of many compensation, benefits and other reward opportunities we provide (e.g. bonus, stock options, 401(k) match, etc.)Individual pay rate decisions are based on a number of factors, including qualifications for the role, experience level, skillset, and balancing internal equity relative to peers at the company. We expect the majority of the candidates who are offered roles at our company to fall healthily throughout the range based on these factors. The range above is for the expectations as laid out in the job description, however we are often open to a wide variety of profiles, and recognize that the person we hire may be less experienced (or more senior) than this job description as posted. If that ends up being the case, the updated salary range will be communicated with you as a candidate.The salary range above is for the NY/CA. As a company, we have a location based strategy, which means the salary range could be lower or higher than this if the role is hired in another location.
