Job Summary
Production worker personnel are responsible for confirming the correct parts/quantities to be packed or manufactured per customer order in proper packaging.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Retrieves and uses pick list to determine quantities of parts and packs required item documentation, and parts ordered for each job/transfer. Records PO/Heat number on pick list for traceability and completes Mill Test Reports, Certificate of Compliance, as needed. Labels, tags, weight, and record dimensions on inspection tickets and packs all items.
- Receives and interprets job orders, retrieves appropriate bolt material from storage location(s). Completes bolt order by notifying lead person of PMI required testing, loads material onto Bolt saw(s), and manufactures/cuts material to appropriate length if needed.
- Can accurately use measuring tools such as tape measurer and/or ruler and can record material usage and traceability PO on Job paperwork.
- Operates chamfer and stamping machine. Tags any remaining materials with PO traceability and returns unused material to Rod rack.
- Performs physical count of AT Rod materials when required. Must store and dispose of scrap/drops in appropriate bins. Scrap process performed with form and approved by management.
- Performs inventory functions and assembles and assembles bolts and nuts using the Bolt Assembly table or by hand.
- Retrieves completed parts/orders from shipping/staging area for final inspection and shipment. Prints and affix item labels to boxes/skids, prepare shipping documents, stretch wrapping skids, as well as utilizing a forklift to transfer material to the dock or load freight carriers.
- Will stage material and file customer documents in corresponding trays or in will call drawers for shipments. Files remaining branch documents in corresponding trays.
- Arrangements for delivery service/Hot Shot carrier using truck schedule to prioritize packing product for the next truck and loads material on freight carrier vehicles.
- May preform other duties as assigned by supervisor or branch manager

- Extremely organized and able to work with minimum supervision
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with other warehouse workers and delivery service.
- Proficient computer skills and ability to learn database and ordering systems
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Work Experience
- 1 year experience in a manufacturing setting
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, and stand to operate and repair heavy equipment
- Must be able to work in all types of weather, including extremely hot and cold temperatures
- Must be able to become forklift certified.
- Must be able to lift 35-40 pounds independently.
