Job Title: Warehouse SupervisorCompany: Lonestar Equipment SolutionsLocation: Houston, TexasJob Type: Full-timeVETERANS ENCOURAGED TO APPLYLonestar Electric Supply and its subsidiaries are looking for an experienced Warehouse Supervisor who will manage warehouse associates and ensure that all activities are carried out safely, efficiently, and profitably. They will also drive and promote our passion to MAKE IT HAPPEN! Responsibilities:
- Oversees the daily workflow of the warehouse; schedules and organizes staff to ensure proper staffing of all shifts.
- Responsible for ensuring safety is first and safety policies and procedures are followed.
- Hires and trains new warehouse employees.
- Handles discipline and termination of employees as needed and in accordance with company policy.
- Ensures efficient warehouse operations through collaboration and coordination with other departments.
- Completes all required management reports.
- Executes maintenance activities when needed.
- Researches, identifies, and presents new ideas to improve warehouse operations.
- Attends and participates in regularly scheduled and impromptu meetings.
- Resolve discrepancies with shipping, invoices, packing slips, and receiver reports
- Ensures compliance with applicable federal, state, local, and company safety policies.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Exceptional supervisory and interpersonal skills.
- Thorough understanding of warehouse policies and procedures.
- Thorough understanding of applicable federal, state, local, and company safety policies.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred.
- At least five years of related experience in a warehouse setting.
- Supervisory experience required.
- Electrical Supply Distribution experience preferred.
